Volleyball System in the U.S.
At American high schools, volleyball is organized as part of the extensive school sports program, which is managed by local and state high school athletic associations under the umbrella of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). Schools often form multiple teams so that students of various skill levels can participate. Matches take place against other schools in the region, with the opportunity for stronger teams to advance to regional or state championships. Training sessions occur several times a week, usually after school, while matches are often played in the afternoon or early evening. This schedule makes it possible to balance schoolwork and sports effectively while still training intensively and playing competitively.
